It’s really, really easy to skip working out while traveling. First of all, you might be experiencing fatigue and jetlag which can make you feel too sluggish for the gym. Then your days are filled with activities (even if those activities are lounging by the pool or eating delicious food) so where’s the time to work out? Lastly, you might not have had space to pack a full gym outfit. They can take up a lot of room!
My number one tip for you? Pack a gym jumpsuit. It’s an all-in-one outfit so you don’t have to bring leggings, a sports bra and top with you, rather just this one item that won’t take up a large portion of your suitcase. Out of all of the options of what to wear to the gym, it’s the easiest and can be layered if you’re in a chillier climate. I’m counting down the best gym jumpsuits to pack on a trip with you.
1. Live The Process – Sky Bodysuit (pictured above)
I get nonstop compliments when I wear this ultra-flattering one-piece. It provides compression while still being super comfortable with very soft material. The jumpsuit slims your waist while amping your décolletage. It also comes in a large variety of colors — you can go with black which looks great on everyone or choose from multicolor combinations like black ruby/mother of pearl. This bodysuit is perfect for a barre class and if you were in a pinch it’s chic enough for you to throw a skirt on top and wear on a night out.
2. South Beach Seamless Bodysuit
Are you unsure about wearing a onesie at the gym? Not ready to shell out for something you might not like? Then this is the gym jumpsuit for you. It’s simple, black and on sale for $12. You can try this one out for the same price of a cocktail, except if it motivates you to work out then it’s definitely better for you.
3. Ernest Leoty – Ilona Two-Tone Stretch Bodysuit
This ballerina-esque jumpsuit features thin straps and stretch fabric that sculpts your physique, equally perfect for you to do an arabesque or downward dog. In the past, this brand made corsetry but recently ventured into the more contemporary niche of activewear creating a beautiful gym jumpsuit to wear to exercise in your hotel room or hit up a local class.
4. Adidas By Stella McCartney – Train All-in-One Jumpsuit
Of course, the queen of stylish athleticwear Stella McCartney designed a striking gym jumpsuit for Adidas. It features a futuristic and body-contouring design with a racerback that guarantees everything stays in place even during intense exercise. This one is great to wear for a circuit training or boxing class as it features a higher neckline that holds everything in even when you’re jumping or running.
5. Beyond Yoga – Amanda Kloots Biker Bodysuit
On top of my love for gym jumpsuits, I also have a great level of affection for biker shorts, so this Amanda Kloots piece merges both of my comfortable fashion interests. This gym jumpsuit is ideal for hot weather vacays to get in a short workout before you head to the beach. The cross-back design holds you in place while the original print on the leg is a fun design note.
