Quarantine Romance: Women Share Their Pandemic Love and Sex Stories

Sex Stories

A few months ago, I decided to travel to Los Angeles to celebrate my graduation with my best friends but then due to the pandemic, I got stuck there for four months. Plot twist — they ended up being the best months of my life. I grew, learned, and enjoyed a lot!

When it comes to dating, I’m pretty aware that this is the worst moment to meet new people but thanks to dating apps, there’s still hope for all us, the forever single friends. It happened to me!

I met some guys through Bumble, and most of them were “my type”, tall men with dad bodies, fans of country music, and owners of golden retrievers. Before meeting them, I always asked for a Facetime date, so from six guys I talked to, I only ended up meeting up with two, one that was my type, but I realized there was no spark, and a second one, who I had the best experience with but was everything but my type.

First, we had a ten-year difference, (he looks older and I look younger, thanks Latino genes!) so I’m people questioned whether I had a sugar daddy or not. He has the worst texting skills ever, while I love texting, and finally, he is super into the gym, unlike me  who hasn’t worked out in months. To me, there wasn’t a real spark until our fourth date, and I think it was the same for him because I think I’m not his type, but between random texts and hangouts, the vibe we changed, and the week before leaving, without knowing it was my last week, we spent long days hanging out at his beautiful apartment, driving around L.A., singing at the top of our lungs in the car, eating the best sushi in town, going to places with breathtaking views and having our first real date (at a restaurant!).

Unfortunately, I had to leave the dream I was living in and come back home to El Salvador. I still miss what I experienced, but my reality is different and I don’t know if life will give us a second chance to enjoy each other again, as much as I would like to, however, I’ll always cherish what we had and the memories I created with my “quarantine romance”.

Inspired by my story, I wanted to share other stories of women that have met people during quarantine, so here’s a collection of romance, dating, and stories:

Quarantine Romance and Sex Stories

“I met him using Tinder’s passport feature. I was swiping in Europe while being in America and we matched. We started texting and then having endless FaceTime calls, and 15 days later, without knowing each other in person, he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes! It’s crazy, but at the moment felt right. We talked about traveling as soon as it was possible and made plans for the future, but distance got between us and we had to break up.”

“In February I met a guy and we started talking, but when the cities shut down, he got stuck in another city, so I thought it was impossible for something to happen between us because of the distance and the uncertainty. I guess life had other plans for me because while we were apart, we talked every day. We watched movies together and he even sent me food and gifts. Once he was able to go back to my city, we saw each other and everything felt right. Now we’re dating and even met each other’s families. I had lost my hope in love, but he came and changed everything and I’m so happy with him.”

“I matched with this man through Bumble and I immediately talked to him. He was cute and he had good texting skills, so every day for two weeks we talked. We decided to go to a park in my area for our first date, and I thought since it was a park, I shouldn’t be all dolled up, but when I saw him, I realized how wrong I was. He looked like the exact copy of Ryan Gosling, while I was wearing my $10 Target shorts. Besides the outfit mishap, we had a good first date. After the date, he stopped talking to me, and days later he asked me out again. I didn’t have many plans that weekend so I agreed. I’m happy I went to a second date with him because it made me realize how weird he was and how much power I was giving to him in my mind. On our second date, I wore the cutest shoes, a nice outfit and I did my hair, so I felt empowered and confident, while he was wearing a t-shirt and a flannel. After that date, we never spoke again.”

“I met a guy at the beginning of the quarantine through an app to improve my French. We started talking a lot through there, and days later, he asked me for my number. Our endless calls went for trying to learn each other’s languages, to talking about everything. I was even working and FaceTiming him. Unfortunately, I already experienced a long-distance relationship, and it’s something I wouldn’t like to have again. However, talking to him was fun and entertaining because I spent most of the days by myself at home.”

“My story happened exactly the day before the lockdown, so I guess it still counts as quarantine romance. I met a guy through a dating app and we exchanged texts frequently. One time, while we were talking about food, he asked me out on a date and I agreed. We were 50 minutes away from each other, but that day it was raining, so a 50-minute drive ended up turning into a two-hour drive for him. We had a lot of fun at the restaurant and he offered to drive me home, and I thought it was the perfect excuse to hook up in his car. I was super horny that day! Everything started fun and sexy until I got into his pants and he had the weirdest penis I’ve ever seen! I felt so uncomfortable. I excused myself saying I had to go back home and he drove me back. We talked two more times and after that, we lost communication. Well, I hope you’re doing well J!”.

“I ended four-year relationship back in February and I was 100 percent convinced I didn’t want to date anyone again. That was until one night, my best friend encouraged me to download a dating app and I matched with a guy. We started talking and we had an immediate connection. Two days after talking we started watching movies and shows together while we Facetimed, and when it was safe to meet, we went to grab food together and we had the same chemistry as we had through text. Since then, we’ve been seeing each other frequently and even though we’ve had some highs and lows, we are enjoying each other’s company and presence, so I guess things are going well with him.”

“I’m a woman that loves to go out and go on dates, so this lockdown had been hell for me! One night I was particularly feeling bored, I texted my best guy friend and invited him to my place to watch a movie. He came up and we ended hooking up. I don’t know how it happened, I guess both of us were horny! It was good and fun sex, but for the sake of our friendship, I would never do it again. It was a one-time thing and I don’t regret it! It was super fun and just what I needed that night!”

“I’m in a stable relationship, however, I don’t live with my boyfriend, so we’ve been super creative when it comes to “sexy time”. We’ve been having a lot of phone sex and we’ve used Facetime too. One particular night, we were extra turned on, so we decided to meet on a random parking lot close to my place. Guys…it was the best car sex ever! I never thought “distance” and quarantine were going to make our sex something that amazing. I still get hot just by thinking of it!”
