Naomi Osaka is serving sporty chic swimwear in her newest collection with Frankies Bikinis which launched today. While she’s had previous fashion collaborations with brands like Nike and Adeam, this is the athlete’s first-ever swimwear collection. Osaka worked closely with Frankies Bikinis designer Francesca Aiello to bring the collection to life. The duo “hopes to inspire women around the globe to feel confident in celebrating themselves in this range of swimwear, and that there will be a style that will appeal to everyone.”
As for the collection, the pieces come in an array of playful prints like ‘sweet pea’ floral, ‘libra stripe’, and ‘candyland’. If you prefer solids, choose from satin options in colors honeydew (pastel green) and rain (deep blue). There’s also a notable swimsuit, the “Osaka One Piece” which features a unique polo style collar with an adjustable coverage bottom and a tie at the waist. The collection which is available for purchase starting May 10, 2021 at 9 am PST, will be available in sizes XS – XL, with select styles offering up to 2XL. As for price, the pieces will range from $80 – $190.
On May 19th a second drop will become available which features a mix of cut-out one-pieces, high-waisted bottoms, a new swim skirt, and matching sarong, of course in a colorful palette perfect for this upcoming summer. Whether you like your swimwear skimpy or a little fuller, there’s something for everyone in this collection. Check out the images throughout the article to see Osaka’s first foray into swimwear with a versatile collection. This collaboration shows that Osaka doesn’t just kill it on the court but also knows how to make a killer swimsuit.
